The QA Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF) qualification is designed for individuals who wish to act as an emergency first aider in their workplace. The QA Level 2 Award in Basic Life Support for Adults and Children (RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification designed to equip candidates with the essential skills needed to administer safe, prompt, and effective basic life support in an emergency.

The Basic Life Support for Adults and Children course syllabus includes:

• Recognising when to commence CPR and defibrillation
• Adult CPR and defibrillation
• Child CPR and defibrillation
• Infant CPR and defibrillation
• Assessing levels of consciousness
• Opening the airway
• Checking breathing
• Recovery Position
• Recognising the signs of choking
• Choking treatment for adults, children and infants

The QA Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (Annual Refresher) (RQF) qualification is designed to allow qualified first aiders to update their first aid skills yearly until requalification training is required. Successful candidates will leave with renewed confidence, having had the opportunity to practise essential first aid procedures, and learn the latest techniques needed to deal with an emergency.

Our first aid course materials and handouts are used in conjunction with current HSE First Aid at Work legislation and guidance. Delegates are assessed at the end of the course on their knowledge and practical skills.
